Certent Customers and Partners Explore Innovation in Reporting in Stockholm

Certent’s Disclosure Management Regional Summit in Stockholm, Sweden came to a close last Friday, but not without engaging conversations between customers and partners around strategic ways to innovate and improve internal and external reporting processes.

Certent CEO, Michael Boese, kicked off the Summit discussing how the company’s growth and expansion into new global markets – supported by expanded software and service offerings – has enabled companies worldwide to transform their reporting processes – both internal and external.

Details on the visionary product roadmap for Certent CDM as presented by Brett Alexander, VP of Product Management, and Andrei Purice, Product Manager, illustrated how Certent’s innovative solution continues to evolve and support ever-changing regulatory requirements and complex internal reporting processes using design thinking and a hyper-focus on user experience.

Thor Øyvind Nilsen and Silje Chirico Indrebø from Equinor, a multinational energy company and long-time CDM power user, then took the stage to share with attendees their expansive use case. With over 250 individual users and 120 user groups, the audience saw an internal view of how Equinor leverages CDM to standardize and streamline multi-department reporting processes – inspiring attendees to think about how to they can do more with Certent.

Certent was honored to have Gary Simon, a highly sought-after lecturer and trusted provider of thought leadership and analysis speak about the development of the modern finance function for CFOs around the world. In his session, Innovation and the Finance Function, Simon shared FSN’s considerable body of research over the last few years – including results from a recent survey sponsored by Certent. He explained how finance organizations can improve their performance through innovation, focusing especially on financial and management reporting – inspiring the room to become ‘data masters.’

ESMA’s ESEF was the focus of a regulatory update from Hugh Wallis, Director of Regulatory Analysis. Wallis urged attendees to get ahead of the forthcoming mandate set to take effect in financial years that start on or after 2020 and explored the impact of iXBRL on their current reporting process.

The Radisson Blu Waterfront was the perfect backdrop for conversation and collaboration among global finance leaders driving innovation in financial reporting.
