By Wendy Nieto. As the CFO at Certent, I know the challenges and complexities private company finance leadership faces. I’ve found inspiration and gathered great process improvements from in-person learning events, and therefore I’m excited to announce our upcoming Private Company Finance Leadership Summit.
Join us at the Hotel Nikko in downtown San Francisco on Tuesday, May 24th for a morning of learning and motivation. You will hear a keynote from Geoff Colvin, Senior Editor-at-Large for Fortune Magazine and bestselling author of Talent Is Overrated: What Really Separates World-Class Performers From Everybody Else. With an unmatched vantage point for seeing inside the world’s most successful companies, Colvin identifies the specific strategies that great companies use right now to succeed in today’s turbulent business world.
The Summit also includes two workshop sessions. During our first workshop, Fidelity Capital Markets will explore hot topics including the emergence and growth of innovations in electronic capital formation with focus on issuer and investor demands for more efficient market structure, improved transparency and execution cost savings. This session will include an update on developments in the IPO market, Online Directed Share Programs (DSPs), Marketplace Lending and other FinTech platforms that are changing the financial services landscape.
Our second workshop is designed to help your organization thrive in the war for talent. Aon Radford, the leading provider of data, analytics, and consulting high growth organizations, will share market insights on compensation and managing workforce growth. And the accounting experts from Armanino will describe how to overcome key challenges faced by private companies. You’ll gain a better understanding of the interaction between your valuation and equity management tracking and reporting, both strategically and tactically.
We end the day with small group discussions on common scenarios such as a down round of funding, a new grant type, or an acquisition, and debate how to overcome challenges of various constituents – including employees, management, and external investors.
This half-day event starts with a networking breakfast at 7:30 and runs until 2pm. The sessions are eligible for up to 3 CPE credits. Seats are limited and filling up FAST, so register now to save your spot!
